广东重工建设监理有限公司(原名为广东省重工业设计院监理部)成立于1991年，是广东省最早成立和开展监理业务的单位之一；1994年经建设部批准为国家甲级建设监理单位；1999年3月，受建设部委托参加编制《建设工程监理规范》是广东省唯一一家参编的监理单位；2000年5月通过了由广东省认证中心进行的ISO9002：1999版标准的认证审核，获得质量体系认证证书；2001年公司被建设部认定为甲级工程招标代理机构；2002年6月通过ISO9001-2000版标准的转版认证审核，并获得质量体系认证证书。2009年，获得监理行业最高资质——综合资质。2011年，获得政府采购甲级资质。
